This Newsletter, appearing 25 to 30 times a year, brings you information on trade policy developments that are economically important to the international trade in oilseeds, oils and fats (including margarine, specialty fats and sauces).
When the European Union has reached a free trade agreement, the Dutch Product Board MVO is one of the first organizations in Europe to procure detailed and reliable information on the trade arrangements for the product group of oils and fats.
The Newsletter Trade Policy brings you information, amongst others, about:
- The free trade negotiations between the EU on the one hand and Mercosur, Bulgaria, Rumania, Turkey, Croatia, Eastern European and Balkan countries on the other, and trade negotiations in the WTO context;
- Changes in EU customs tariffs for oils and fats originating from developing countries that result from changes in the General System of Preferences (GSP);
- Worldwide government policy measures aiming to stimulate (reduction or suspension of import duties) or to discourage (implementation or augmentation of import duties, price bands, surcharges etc.);
- Tariff concessions that have been proclaimed by countries wanting to join the WTO.
At least once a month, and when developments ask for it more frequently, the Newsletter Trade Policy is published.
