In the domain of Food and Health the Product Board MVO is a knowledge centre for the MVO companies too. Companies may address the product board with questions on legislation, science, food policy and food recommendations.

Through the Information Bureau for Margarine, Fats and Oils information and education material is developed about place and function of oils and fats in a healthy and contemporary diet.

Apart from that MVO devotes itself to the improvement of the fatty acid composition of food. To this end some years ago MVO installed a Taskforce Responsible Fatty Acid Composition in which aside from the product board buyers of vegetable oils and government delegates participate. Detailed background information on fats and oils is provided by MVO to the food industry and the retail on a specially created website: www.factsonfats.nl.

In the MVO Working Group Food and Health all relevant and interesting items are discussed.
