Free Trade Agreements between the EU and third countries

The EU (officially the European Community) has signed Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) with a wide range of third countries, including the following countries:

1) The association agreement between the EC and Syria was initialled on 14 December 2008 but the implementation has been delayed due to political problems (Syria's influence in Lebanon).

2) The Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) between the EU and Serbia was signed on 29 April 2008. The SAA has not been officially implemented due to the lack of Serbia's cooperation with the International Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia. Nevertheless, Serbia applies the SAA based tariff preferences autonomously.

These abovementioned FTAs all cover free trade provisions for oils and fats but the scope and degree of trade liberalization in oils and fats are far from being similar.
