The product board collects production and sales data of the Dutch oils and fats industry and trade (MVO sector). These data are used both to provide the sector with relevant information and as a basis to impose the administrative levy.
Production companies have the obligation, according to the MVO Regulation General Provisions, to provide these data. Besides that, each year trading companies (including fat recycling companies) are asked to provide data about oils and fats sold in the Netherlands and storage-companies are expected to provide data about their stocks.
Explanation about the requested data
The company declaration, depending form the activities carried out by your company, consists of the next four items:
Processing of oilseeds, production of crude vegetable oil and meal:
- Declaration of processed oilseeds (per type, in tons, per month);
- Crude vegetable oil and meal obtained from these seeds (per type, in tons, per month);
- Once a year a declaration of the amounts of oils and fats sold in the Netherlands, subdivided according to type and destination (human consumption, feed, technique and energy production);
- Stocks (excluding stocks of storage-companies) per end of the year (per type, in tons, per month).
Declaration: at latest three weeks after the ending of each month and 6 weeks after the ending of the year.

The importance of your data
Your data are necessary in order to collect market information relevant to the oils and fats industry and trade. Furthermore, they support both the product board's and the branch organizations' activities. MVO companies are themselves informed about developments at product and sector level, by means of a number of publications to which one may subscribe.
Sector data are also sent to the CBS in order to avoid the CBS having to request these data with all individual companies.
Of course you may trust your data to be treated with utmost confidentiality.
Providing data
The product board aims at minimizing the administrative burden for the MVO companies. If it is easier for you to provide the requested data by electronic means directly from your administration, or if it is easier to provide these data using another model or as a list/print, we would like to discuss the options with you. The product board has a preference for receiving the data in a file (preferably by e-mail). The e-mail address whereto you may send your data, is statistiek@mvo.nl.
If you have any questions about this providing of data, please contact Jos van Leeuwen, tel. +00.31.70.3195122, e-mail leeuwen@mvo.nl.
