MVO recognises the importance of sustainable production and wants to facilitate companies to produce and trade sustainable. To do so MVO acts as a knowledge centre in the field of sustainable production and initiates developments within and for the sector. Crucial for the sustainable supply of raw materials to the Dutch Oils and fats sector are two international initiatives directed at creating a sustainable supply of raw materials. These are:

• the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) and
• the Round Table on Responsible Soy (RTRS).

MVO supports these initiatives.
