The Round Table on Responsible Soy (RTRS)

The Round Table on Responsible Soy (RTRS) was formally established as an organisation in 2006 by Unilever, WWF and ABIOVE, the Brazilian organisation of oilseed crushers.

The RTRS's primary goal is to create a more responsible soy production. In May 2009 Principles and Criteria for more responsible soy production were established.

MVO is a member of the RTRS and supports this organisation (see statement (in dutch)) through participation in different working groups and communication activities. MVO participated among other things in the RTRS Criteria Development Working Group.

MVO closely follows all developments within the RTRS and informs relevant stakeholders thereof. To increase the support for RTRS MVO, in cooperation with the Dutch Task Force Soy supports and facilitates the RTRS Outreach program. This program is directed at increasing the support for RTRS in Latin America, Europe, Asia, India and the US.
