Productschap MVO pleit voor afschaffing EU-invoerrecht voor duurzame palmolie
Het Productschap Margarine, Vetten en Oliën pleit, namens de Nederlandse oliën- en vettenindustrie, in een brief aan Minister Verhagen van het Ministerie van EL&I voor een versnelde afschaffing van het EU-invoerrecht voor duurzame palmolie. Duurzame palmolie die gecertificeerd is volgens de richtlijnen van de Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) is palmolie waarbij zowel bij de teelt als bij de handel rekening wordt gehouden met mens, dier en milieu. Een afschaffing van het invoerrecht zal de omschakeling versnellen van conventionele palmolie naar duurzame palmolie.

MVO publishes article in Dutch Food Magazine on Sustainable Palm Oil
MVO published an article on sustainable palm oil (in Dutch) in VMT Magazine, a Dutch magazine on food and food manufacturing. The article underlines the importance of sustainable palm oil. It specifically stipulates the supply chain options consumer good manufacturers and retailers can choose and the claims they are allowed to make.


During the VMT Food Event, March 16th, MVO gives a workshop aimed at explaining consumer good manufacturers and retailers why to buy sustainable palm oil.
