The Product Board MVO, the Head Product Board for Arable Farming, the Product Board for Feedingstuff, the Product Board for Grains, Seeds and Pulses and the Product Board for Wine together in 1990 put up the Cooperation Council for Social Affairs. This was done in order to initiate projects beneficial to the employees in the sectors concerned. These projects are carried out by the Labor Division.

In order to keep both company employees and union policy makers informed of the input of union representatives in the boards of governance of the product boards, the sector developments which are of interest to the employees and the progress made with the above-mentioned projects, a Labor Newsletter (in Dutch) was set up starting 1 January 2005. This newsletter comes out every six to eight weeks.
